I'm Terrible At Surprises

I tried, but I just can't keep my progress completely hidden....I'm working on a RE: DC Game of Oblivion Claire Redfield cosplay!! I was going to keep all of my progress hidden and then surprise everyone with this cosplay, but darn it I'm like a child and I can't keep my excitement over this hidden haha. Anyways, a few days ago I found an authentic red leather vest on ebay for sale super duper cheap so I snatched it up! I used it as the base for my Claire vest. I couldn't find my stencils that I used for my PSOne RE2 Alternate Outfit Claire Redfield cosplay (I think they were mistaken as trash by my mother >~<) so instead of taking the time to make brand new ones, I freehanded the lettering and logos with sidewalk chalk and painted in all the details afterwards. That took all night. I was seriously up for a good 15 hours working on this vest. (Freehanding with freaking brittle chalk suuuuuuuucks @~@) It was totally worth it though! Here's the ending result of my labor:

I'm very proud of the outcome! Now All that's left is to make my belt buckle and find me a pair of jeans that I can rip up. I'm going out tomorrow to do some thrift store shopping for my RE3 Jill cosplay so I'm hoping I'll find a pair then. I'm really looking forward to completing this cosplay.
